Shiny metal things no bigger than the palm of your hand.
A puzzle, only missing one piece that must be carried by someone in authority.
Magic trick I used to find enjoyable in my younger years... not so much anymore.
Capable of death, or at least the amputation of your hands.
So small, yet so restricting.
Makes you feel like no better than a wild animal, a ferral cat who has to be caged in order to be dealt with.
Humiliation. Total humilitation.
Harry
My brother-in-law. RM. Loves the Church. Loves all people, talks to Hispanics (or any race) without giving a care that they might live in the trailer park. Loves playing in the pool with his son. Loves playing ball with the dog. Loves goofing off with my sister. Loves holding his baby girl. Loves art. Loves teasing people. Loves life.
One mistake.
3 years in Utah State Prison. Hard to believe that in September, a year will have gone by since the day he was taken away. He wouldn't harm a fly. But, he gets HANDCUFFS. He's a menace to society even though he came willingly.
Denise
Met her in 2002. One of my 3 favorite nurses at Primary Childrens. Told me I could have friends come visit me in Pediatrics-ICU and it made my whole day better. Wore a huge sombrero hat on Cinco De Mayo while working at the hospital. Made me laugh when she came into my hospital room all dressed up and ready to do a little salsa dancing. Made me walk down the hall when I wanted to swear at her cuz I was in so much pain and didn't want to move an inch. Made me a stronger girl and who I am today. Made me laugh because she was so crazy. Came to my wedding.
One mistake.
Taken away from the hospital in HANDCUFFS. She begged, "Please, I'll go. Just no handcuffs." No, she is a menace to society. She needs restraints apparently.
HUMILIATION. TOTAL HUMILIATION.
