Blog Challenge Catch-up

Ok yeah, there's plenty of excuses I could use, but none of them would be truthful.  I've just been busy!  But anyway, here are the days I've missed.

Day 3 - Your idea of the perfect first date.
Well, of course I think that my first date with Charles was perfect, because look what it led to!  But really, I think my idea of a perfect first date needs to be 85% fun, 10% romantic, and 5% spiritual.  These percentages are definitely different for different people, but this is what mine looks like.  I think the romantic can be blended into the fun and the couple won't even know what happened!  If the boy uses too many one-liners, if he tells the girl he 'feels something different with her' on that first date, if he goes in for the kill (oops, I meant 'kiss') at the doorstep... those little actions make the romantic percentage jump way too high.

And let me explain what I mean by spiritual.  This does not mean reading scriptures and saying a prayer with the whole family gathered around before you two can leave together to go down to Temple Square!  It means, maybe making sure you're on the same page.  It means that the couple honestly exemplifies their religious beliefs.  Being honest, tender-hearted, chaste, cheerful, non-judgmental.  They both need to act Christlike.  However, a date to Temple Square never hurt any relationship that I know of...

Day 4 - A favorite photograph of your best friend.

Oh man, she's gonna kill me.  Oh well, the picture is on Facebook, too, so it's already been seen by the whole world!  This just singles it out more...

This is after a Tiger Tails fight.  My 2 BFFs in High School!  Jackie and Denise

Day 5 - A photo of myself 2 years ago

This ended up being our 4th or 5th date.  Charles taught me how to snowboard!  I'm learning to like it a lot!  It seems crazy that I've only known him for 2 years... it feels like he's always been a part of my life.

Day 6 - A photo of an animal I'd love to keep as a pet.

A white bengal tiger cub.  They just remind me of my little schnookums, Voldy Woldy (our cat, Voldemort for those of you who couldn't read through the gushiness).  Bigger cats just have bigger clumsy paws, and probably bigger poop but we'll worry about that later.

Day 7 - Your dream wedding.

I was pretty much in love with my wedding!  The only thing I didn't even realize was wrong until after we got back from our honeymoon, is that we didn't have an outside reception!  I told the Reception Center that, and we planned where to have the backdrop.  But everything was set up indoors when we arrived!  It was so hot outside in the July weather, so I guess in the long run, it was a good decision.  But I didn't get my garden wedding reception!

Anyway, I think a perfect wedding starts out in the temple, kneeling across the altar and promising each other eternity.  It just makes marital problems much easier to work out when you know that you're going to be together forever.  So yeah, start the day out in the temple!  And after that, nothing else really matters.  :-)

But I did LOVE my colors.  Fuschia, orange and yellow.

And I did LOVE my cake.  3 tiers, square-shaped, daisies displayed so artistically.

Oh, and I LOVED my dress.  Square neck line, lots of sparkles!!!, high waistline to make me look tall.

And I can't forget how much I LOVED my flip-flops.  Fuschia, yellow sunflowers on the toe strap thingy.

And of course, I LOVED my hair, the flowers, the amazing dessert buffet, the centerpieces, our first dance, our bouquet/garter toss, our priceless pictures, our wedding video, and just everything.

But most of all, I LOVE MY HUSBAND!!!  He's cute, smart, perfect height for me, spiritual, makes me laugh everyday, and he loves me and places me higher up than anything else in his life.  I hope he can see me trying to do that for him.

Day 8 - A song to match your mood.

I'm a girl.  I change moods in less than 1.835 seconds.  So, here are multiple songs I like:

Dance mood - "Like a G6" by Far East Movement (LOVE hip-hop freestyle!)
In Love mood - "Enchanted" and multiple songs by Taylor Swift
I'm sick of being sick mood "Stand in the Rain" by Superchick
Happy mood - "Tonight's Gonna Be a Good Night" by Blackeyed Peas
Sad mood - "Tonight I Wanna Cry" by Keith Urban
Sentimental mood - "Long Live" by Taylor Swift
Go and get revenge on ex-bfs - "Pictures to Burn" by Taylor Swift

Yeah, Taylor Swift covers pretty much everything.  I know I am going to be 23 in less than a week and I am married and not dealing with the dating scene anymore, but she is still very relatable!

Day 9 - A photo of the last item I purchased.

Um, I think it was gas.  That's exciting!  Hmm... I honestly can't remember the last 'thing' I bought.  But tonight, I am going to purchase a membership to this:

I'm not trying to lose weight, I just want a place to swim, work out, run, and of course do BODY JAM!!!  AND BODY COMBAT!!!
