You may remember my first Christmas with my inlaws in 2010 from my post
here. I was homesick, miserable and a downer the whole week. Our 2012 Christmas trip was much different! My mom came with us because she needed a vacation, too, and that changed how I felt about everything! I don't know what I'd do without her. We also stayed very busy everyday while we were there, so there was no time to think about missing home. And I think the best thing about this trip, was that I grew so much closer to my MIL and my little (big) brother, Lewis. Spending 3 hours in a car together and sharing a less-than-par hotel room on our roadtrip to Philadelphia helps a lot with bonding!

At Annapolis Harbor
DC Temple Session - my first time in the Celestial Room there!
Eating Popeyes Chicken for the first time at the rest stop in Delaware
Liberty Bell - Let freedom ring!
The exact room where the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were signed.
The chair near the back of the room is original.
The parking ticket we got and the nice note I wrote to the city of Philadelphia because I was so mad!
SLC has free meters (or at least they used to be) at Christmastime!
LOVE park! This was the biggest reason I wanted to go to Philly!
A genuine Philly cheesesteak from the original - Pat's. This boy was in heaven!
Charles' cute grandma, or "Mom-Mom." 35 looks good on her.
Lewis, Jill, Jared, Cora, Charles and my mom (and me) playing the "Match Game" after opening presents
back at their house in MD.
Cora's Italian greyhound puppy - Jett. We missed our Ginny SO MUCH, so it was fun to play with and cuddle a puppy.
This was the best trip to Maryland yet!

Looks like a fun trip! I especially loved your letter to the city of "brotherly love." Ha ha! Did you send it? I sure hope so...it was pretty good!
